Nor to install the dedicated supply from the distribution board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What other experience\/training is\u00a0<\/strong><strong>needed to take the course?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>None.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does the course cover?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduction and basic understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations, BS 7671<\/li>\n<li>(17th Edn), and BS 5839<\/li>\n<li>How electricity works, simple calculations, and an explanation of Ohms Law<\/li>\n<li>The route from generation to the consumer<\/li>\n<li>Safe isolation, switching off the supply and ensuring it is safe to work<\/li>\n<li>Testing: making sure that completed work is safe for the technician and the end user<\/li>\n<li>Certi\ufb01cation: documenting your work<\/li>\n<li>Installation: making the connection<\/li>\n<li>Everything you have learnt put into practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are the benefits of taking\u00a0<\/strong><strong>this course?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delegates gain technical understanding of the regulations and principles relating to the electrical supply<\/li>\n<li>Course manuals to take away and refer to<\/li>\n<li>Delegates with an 80% or above pass rate will be issued with a certi\ufb01cate of competency issued by both the NICEIC and the FIA.<\/li>\n<li>Installation engineers will gain the demonstrable competence required to run a supply from the dedicated supply to the required equipment; theoretical knowledge and practical application of skills combine to make this a fully comprehensive course<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance engineers will be able to safely isolate any electrical equipment before carrying out work<\/li>\n<li>Helps to reduce the risk of electrical injury and maintain compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tools<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Delegates will be required to bring their own tools.
