Workspot’s SaaS platform helps AEC firm Torti Gallas + Partners support remote work and increase business agility

Enterprise desktop cloud company, Workspot, announced that Torti Gallas + Partners has successfully deployed its cloud desktop SaaS platform and workstation solutions.

Deploying Workspot has helped the firm reduce infrastructure costs and IT workload while enabling superior performance that keeps the firm’s designers and engineers productive from anywhere.

Torti Gallas + Partners had grown quickly from two offices to six, including a team in Istanbul. With the rapid growth they were experiencing, the IT department was frustrated with the cost and time required to provide the physical workstations needed to keep their valuable architects and planners productive.

They required high-performance, cost-effective Windows 10 desktops that could support users wherever they needed to work. They considered other remote desktop solutions but found performance was unacceptable to users. The IT team also looked at DIY on-prem VDI solutions but found the initial infrastructure investment too costly and time to value too slow

Like Torti Gallas, many AEC companies are looking to enable collaboration with project team members in real-time from anywhere, using any device.

With the rise of remote work driven by the pandemic, this need is growing. AEC companies often deal with data- and graphics-intensive workloads, making finding the right high-performance solution an even bigger challenge.

Workspot’s SaaS platform helps these companies address these unique needs with the benefits of cloud desktops and workstations, including:

  • Agility: The firm is able to spin up new offices with just an internet connection, allowing them to better support the needs of the business.
  • Productivity: With Workspot, employees can be equally productive from home, a job site or the office and are able to securely access their cloud workstation from any device.
  • IT efficiency: Workspot’s cloud-native SaaS platform for Desktops-as-a-Service has significantly reduced the workload for the IT team.

‘A high-performance cloud desktop solution’

Omer Mushahwar, director of IT, Torti Gallas, said: “Workspot’s operational simplicity and minimal start-up costs really appealed to us, as we needed a high-performance cloud desktop solution quickly.

“Workspot has helped us improve collaboration among our different locations around the globe, and we’ve been able to remain just as productive, even during the pandemic.”

Amitabh Sinha, CEO and co-founder, Workspot, added: “Legacy VDI solutions are too expensive, complex, and unreliable to act as a business enabler.

“Our unique, cloud-native SaaS platform gives AEC firms and other enterprise verticals the agility and speed they need to collaborate, especially when working on projects with massive file sizes.

“Our work with Torti Gallas and many other AEC firms proves that you can achieve new levels of business agility without breaking the bank.”

The SaaS platform will be showcased at the virtual 2020 Autodesk University event from 17-21 November. More information on the event is available here.
