Vinci Construction UK is currently on-site to deliver the 50,000 sq ft mid-tech advanced manufacturing facilities, as Harlow Science Parks expands

Harlow District Council, Vinci UK Developments, Wrenbridge and Vinci Construction UK celebrated a successful ground-breaking ceremony to mark the next phase of the Harlow Science Park scheme.

The scheme will provide six units across two floors, with each of the BREEAM Very Good facilities offering ultra-fast and multi-network broadband across its combination of office and production facilities.

The delivery of the new advanced manufacturing space compliments the completed NEXUS and ARISE units completed in April 2020. Facilities are supported with service areas, car parking and cycle storage and the surrounding sculptured landscape.

A space for the science and technology community

Councillor Tony Durcan, Harlow Council’s portfolio holder for growth and prosperity, said:
“The timing of the start of the expansion of the science park is just right for Harlow and the region’s recovery from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

“The science park will create jobs and new business opportunities and we want it to be the place where things that change people lives are created and made.

“I am very excited about the future the science park and the Modus development will play in moving Harlow forward and securing our town’s future.”

Graham Lambert, managing director at Vinci UK Developments, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering Harlow District Council on this innovative and aspirational scheme.

“We are working with some great organisations in delivering this key phase of the development for Harlow and the surrounding area, creating a compelling and collaborative place for the science and technology community”.

John McHale, Wrenbridge added: “We have thoroughly enjoyed working with an excellent team to create buildings that incorporate a high number of energy-efficient design features.

“These features will reduce the environmental impact and make units more cost-effective for companies to occupy.

“We anticipate exciting occupational demand for the mid-tech units that will offer complete flexibility to occupiers. We are targeting construction completion for Spring 2021 with Bidwells, Strettons and Derrick Wade Waters being retained as our agents.”
