EDITOR

Role and responsibilities:

Due to our continued success and expansion, we have a vacancy for an experienced Editor for the quarterly PBC Today and BIM Today publications.

The role will be based at our offices in Crewe and has the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Research various topics to create content and themes;
  • Commission organisations, experts and academics to write for the publications;
  • Interview experts and write up the responses into articles;
  • Write your own articles for inclusion where appropriate;
  • Attend events and network with key industry figures;
  • Maintain the admin processes for content;
  • Meet tight deadlines and schedules;
  • Create and maintain good working relationships with authors;
  • Proofreading: ensuring that all articles meet our house style, have no grammatical errors, and read well;
  • Sourcing appropriate images for use within articles;
  • Liaise with all departments including our sales and web team.

Requirements:

You will have a passion for writing and editing with excellent copywriting, grammar, and English language skills. You will need to be self-motivated, proactive, and an excellent team player with uncompromising attention to detail.

This position requires at least one year’s experience in a similar role, having worked on construction related themes. You will ideally have a degree in an area such as journalism/English or creative writing, as well as having good IT skills and experience of utilising social media.

The role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle many demands while maintaining a professional approach.

Salary:

Negotiable, depending on experience.

WEBSITE EDITOR

Role and responsibilities:

We are recruiting for an experienced Website Editor with a passion for producing and distributing excellent content.

Our vacancy is based at our offices in Crewe has the following responsibilities:

  • Create content and news stories for our websites using our content management systems;
  • Proof read all content and create headlines and intros for every uploaded feature/news story and profile submission;
  • Optimise all copy to ensure SEO compliance;
  • Source images and ensure they meet compliance with our website and SEO;
  • Define continuous site development needs and own the backlog;
  • Maintain and improve all social media accounts and communities by engaging with readers/followers;
  • Track and record all uploaded content;
  • Analyse website traffic statistics to understand popular trends;
  • Manage, understand and provide reports using website analytics.

Requirements:

In this role, you will take control of all aspects of the administration, planning and producing of website content.

You will have a passion for digital excellence, excellent copywriting, grammar, and image manipulation skills. You will need to be self-motivated, proactive, and an excellent team player with uncompromising attention to detail.

You will ideally have at least one-year’s experience in a similar role with a solid understanding of digital platforms and content management systems, Microsoft suites and SEO principles.

Salary:
