As the Principal Researcher at Nesta Saunders led research projects focusing on technology and inequality.
Including:
– The Everyone Makes Innovation Policy Programme -testing approaches to making science and innovation policy making more inclusive
– Common Futures, research project using future narratives to explore the future of work
– Other areas of work included: public engagement in science and innovation policymaking, urban innovation, innovation methods in the public sector and international development, knowledge and expertise and their use in policymaking, particularly local knowledge and collective intelligence
– Practical skills I developed at Nesta include grant management, designing and facilitating workshops, fundraising, report writing and editing, communicating research to a diverse range of audiences and management (budgets, staff and programmes)
– Project partners included the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Intel, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, RCUK and the British Council
He now holds the position of Head of Public Engagement at UK Research and Innovation.
