noreferrer\">company fell into administration<\/a> earlier this week (5 October)<\/h2>\n<p>The acquisition of nmcn Water is consistent with Galliford Try\u2019s recently published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/galliford-try-sustainability\/99253\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sustainable Growth Strategy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nmcn Water delivers water and wastewater projects for clients across the UK.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the \u00a31m acquisition, 900 employees will join Galliford Try, including the senior management team of nmcn Water, who will report to Steve Slessor, MD of Galliford Try\u2019s environment business.<\/p>\n<p>At their last audited accounts in December 2019, the ncmn Water segment generated operating profit of \u00a37.6m on turnover of \u00a3282.6m.<\/p>\n<h3>The joining of the two businesses will:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Combine two skilled and capable teams strengthening the joint talent pool, during a period of growth.<\/li>\n<li>It is a complementary geographic fit that will generate significant revenue growth through established frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Bring nmcn design and MEICA capabilities to Galliford Try which will further allow growth across our Environment business.<\/li>\n<li>Galliford Try has robust, mature systems and processes which will add value to nmcn\u2019s operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bill Hocking, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: \u201cI am delighted to welcome the employees, clients and suppliers of nmcn Water to Galliford Try.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis acquisition will accelerate the growth of our successful environment business, providing work with new clients and increased capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very exciting time as we deliver our Sustainable Growth Strategy and I look forward to a bright future for our collective team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>680 jobs were also recently saved when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/svella-acquires-nmcn\/100136\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Svella acquired several of nmcn&#8217;s
