Leicester City Football Club<\/a> has submitted its hybrid planning application to Leicester City Counci<\/a>l for the proposed development of the King Power Stadium site<\/h2>\n

The King Power Stadium proposals<\/a> include an additional 8,000 seats, taking the stadium’s capacity to 40,000, and the addition of a new a hotel, multi-purpose event and entertainment arena.<\/p>\n

The new 6,000-capacity multi-purpose arena, titled ‘The Avenue’ will include a fan zone, fan store, multi-storey car park and a food and beverage offering for the supporters.<\/p>\n

The submission had an extensive pre-application public consultation, which ran between August and September 2021.<\/p>\n

\u2018An overwhelming response\u2019<\/h3>\n

Leicester City FC received thousands of pieces of written and in-person feedback from stakeholders throughout our communities, including local authorities, businesses, community groups, neighbours, fans and other interested parties.<\/p>\n

The Club expressed its appreciation to public participants for their engagement and feedback that contributed to the hybrid submission.<\/p>\n

There have been additional proposals for a new retail space, residential space and commercial space<\/a> as well as a multi-storey car park in Leicester city which aim to enhance the site and develop the city.<\/p>\n

These projects will provide a 365-day destination for fans of the 130-year-old football club.<\/p>\n

The application will now be validated by Leicester City Council before being determined by the planning committee in the first few months of next year. Ahead of that decision, the club hopes to be given permission to start some early enabling works on site, which it applied for in September.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s external project team includes project managers Legends International<\/a>, planning and development consultants Turley<\/a>, and architects KSS<\/a>.<\/p>\n
