United Living<\/a> has acquired telecoms infrastructure business, Great British Communications Limited<\/a> (GBC) to expand further within telecoms and 5G<\/h2>\n

Following a 12-month process, United Living has completed a strategic acquisition of the telecoms infrastructure<\/a> business, Great British Communications Limited (GBC).<\/p>\n

Established in 2012, GBC is a specialist provider of acquisition, design, build, procurement, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair services to mobile network operators (MNO\u2019s) in the UK.<\/p>\n

GBC has played a vital role in the UK\u2019s connectivity, having supported a number of major telecoms rollouts.<\/p>\n

\u2018A platform for further growth\u2019<\/h3>\n

Neil Armstrong, chair and CEO, said \u201cThis acquisition opens up exciting new opportunities for us.\u00a0It will complement our existing utility infrastructure services and provides us with a platform to further grow within the telecoms space.<\/p>\n

\u201c5G is a multi-billion-pound market for the UK and is socially and economically transformative for the communities we serve.<\/p>\n

“Artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles and the Internet of Things, to name a few, are all reliant on better connectivity, which 5G helps solution<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will also help us decarbonise the economy in-line with our sustainable commitments.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe welcome the GBC team to United Living and look forward to supporting them as they go from strength to strength.\u201d<\/p>\n

GBC\u2019s managing director, Marc Creasy, added: \u201cThe two businesses core services will enhance the whole offering currently provided by United Living Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe we have found the perfect home for our company to build on our continued success. I look forward to working with the wider United Living Group team.\u201d<\/p>\n

United Living will retain the GBC brand identity, with existing contracts and on-going service commitments being unaffected.<\/p>\n
