{"id":102137,"date":"2021-11-23T11:43:48","date_gmt":"2021-11-23T11:43:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=102137"},"modified":"2021-11-23T11:49:31","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T11:49:31","slug":"cesw-chair-dan-macey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/cesw-chair-dan-macey\/102137\/","title":{"rendered":"Constructing Excellence South West appoints Dan Macey as new chair"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/constructingexcellencesw.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Constructing Excellence South West<\/a> (CESW) has appointed Dan Macey as the new chair, to lead a strategy for positive change in the construction industry<\/h2>\n<p>Macey will work with the board and CESW partners to develop and lead a strategy that will positively shape the future of the South West construction industry.<\/p>\n<p>With six years of experience on the CESW board already under his belt, Macey said: &#8220;Construction faces challenges around safety and hitting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/social-housing-providers-net-zero\/101743\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">net zero<\/a> carbon targets and we must come together collaboratively to find the solution.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m incredibly excited to step up to the challenge as the new Chair and continue the excellent work Andrew has done for the last two years to drive best practice in the industry and engage with all areas of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/winter-supply-chain\/83896\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">supply chain <\/a>to support value over cost.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He takes over the role from the previous Chair Andrew Goodenough.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;Passion for collaborative working&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Andrew Carpenter, CEO of Constructing Excellence South West (CESW), said of the appointment: &#8220;Dan\u2019s passion for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/bim-news\/collaboration-construction\/101481\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">collaborative working<\/a> made the board\u2019s decision unanimous.
