{"id":103121,"date":"2021-12-21T15:59:43","date_gmt":"2021-12-21T15:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=103121"},"modified":"2021-12-21T15:59:43","modified_gmt":"2021-12-21T15:59:43","slug":"martin-pitt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/martin-pitt\/103121\/","title":{"rendered":"NG Bailey\u00a0appoints Martin Pitt as new group commercial director"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Martin Pitt has been appointed new group commercial director of the UK\u2019s largest independent engineering and services business <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/matthew-towner-ng-bailey\/98746\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NG Bailey<\/a> and will start his role on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> January 2022<\/h2>\n<p>Having enjoyed a successful career in the construction industry Martin\u2019s most recent role was as commercial director for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/teesside-carbon-capture-project\/102883\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Balfour Beatty<\/a> Vinci Joint Venture on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/michael-dyke-hs2\/75813\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HS2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other work experience includes group commercial director for both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.srm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sir Robert McAlpine<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.morgansindall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Morgan Sindall<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>New beginnings<\/h3>\n<p>Martin has made the following comment about his new role as group commercial director at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ngbailey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NG Bailey<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to starting the new year with NG Bailey and playing a part in the continued development of the business.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Developing strategy<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">It is hoped that the new group commercial director will help to facilitate NG Bailey\u2019s latest growth strategy to delivers a series of large-scale innovative projects across diverse sectors including infrastructure, technology and decarbonisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chief executive David Hurcomb explained:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re really pleased to be welcoming Martin to the business.
