It is hoped that Powell will pave the way for expansion by implanting a completely new strategy to achieve constant and controlled growth whilst maintaining its debt free status.<\/p>\n<p>With offices in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Teesside, the predicted annual turnover for 2022 is more than \u00a3350m. The company has already secured \u00a3300m worth of opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Previously Powell was the company\u2019s Divisional Managing Director for Yorkshire, where he had overseen exceptional growth, especially with its expansion into the North East. GMI has now established an office in Stockton-on-Tees, with a dedicated team of local professionals headed by a newly appointed Operations Director.<\/p>\n<h3>Current projects<\/h3>\n<p>GMI caters for clients wanting specialist design and build capabilities spanning multiple sectors. Currently, they are involved in a range of high-profile projects, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a3200M development to create a train manufacturing plant, infrastructure and rail supply chain village for Siemens Mobility in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/goole-train-manufacturing\/88872\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Goole<\/a>, East Yorkshire<\/li>\n<li>\u00a330M office building at Thorpe Park, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/student-scheme-in-leeds\/93389\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leeds<\/a><\/li>\n<li>437,000 sq. ft fulfilment centre for an online fashion retailer at Fradley Park in Lichfield, Staffordshire<\/li>\n<li>A new-build residential block comprising 259 apartments over 11 storeys, forming part of the \u00a3200M Becketwell regeneration scheme in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/regeneration-of-becketwell\/95114\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derby<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u00a330M extension to a helicopter manufacturing facility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Its clients include major companies and significant brands such as Tritax Symmetry, St Modwen, Scarborough Group, Graftongate, St James Securities, The Alumno Group, Opus North, HBD, Peel Land &amp; Property, Muse, Legal &amp; General, and Evans Property Group among its clients.<\/p>\n<h3>\u2018We believe Lee has the experience, energy and ability to take GMI to the next level\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>David Shann, chief executive of GMI\u2019s parent company Highgrove Group PLC, commented:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLee\u2019s appointment to this newly-created CEO role underlines our commitment to strengthen and grow our presence in the regions where we already operate, as well as looking towards developing new opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs CEO, we believe Lee has the experience, energy and ability to take GMI to the next level.
