Arcadis<\/a> has been appointed by the Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks<\/a> and Scottish Power Energy Networks<\/a> to support their goal of maximising renewable energy through two five year frameworks, which have a combined value of \u00a325m<\/h2>\n

The five-year multi-disciplinary transmission and distribution energy framework with SSEN will support the organization in delivering infrastructure that will accommodate 10GW renewable generation by 2026.<\/p>\n

SSEN\u2019s new framework will require delivery of the RIIO-2 baseline and a sustainable delivery model to future-proof their network.<\/p>\n

SPEN has also appointed Arcadis as the lead designer on their detailed engineering framework for transmission works, working on multiple sites across the UK, Arcadis\u2019 will focus on enabling new windfarm connections, including substation design, cable and overhead line designs, protection, and control, along with civil works.<\/p>\n

Two-thirds of the SPEN framework projects will involve modernizing existing substations and will include several design projects, including switchgear and electrical replacement, transformer and reactor refurbishment, and supporting civil works.<\/p>\n

The remaining one-third will focus on connecting end-users to their renewable energy.<\/p>\n
