{"id":105669,"date":"2022-02-14T11:49:33","date_gmt":"2022-02-14T11:49:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=105669"},"modified":"2022-02-14T11:49:33","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T11:49:33","slug":"sheffield-development-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/sheffield-development-sites\/105669\/","title":{"rendered":"Work begins on two Sheffield development sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Construction work has begun to build over 300 homes on two Sheffield development sites: the first site Eclipse Phase 2 is on Harborough Avenue and the second one is Pennine Village and located just off Manor Lane<\/h2>\n<p>Upon completion, 210 homes will be built at\u00a0Eclipse Phase 2, and 101 at Pennine Village.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheffieldhousingcompany.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sheffield Housing Company (SHC)<\/a> wants to increase its portfolio to seven Sheffield development sites. This will see 600 homes built across three neighbourhoods in Sheffield \u2013 Manor, Norfolk Park and Parson Cross.<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 2027, SHC is aiming to have 2,300 properties on 23 sites. This will not only help with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/mmc-news\/cornwall-housing-crisis\/105525\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">housing crisis<\/a> but also positively contribute to the local economic situation by creating jobs and community investment in Sheffield.<\/p>\n<p>Both of these Sheffield development sites are the latest from\u00a0(SHC), Sheffield City Council\u2019s joint venture development company with private sector partners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.keepmoat.com\/?msclkid=babc7d06fdd11ffd21321f0ccb9153c7&amp;utm_source=bing&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;utm_campaign=Brand%3E%3EUK%3E%3EGeo&amp;utm_term=keepmoat%20homes&amp;utm_content=Brand%3E%3EHomes%3E%3EExact\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keepmoat Homes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatplaces.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Great Places Housing Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Funding<\/h3>\n<p>Homes England is contributing \u00a33.2m towards the Sheffield development sites. This sum will make sure that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/build-to-rent-scheme-sheffield-2\/101561\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">local housing need<\/a> is met.
