{"id":105830,"date":"2022-02-15T15:40:32","date_gmt":"2022-02-15T15:40:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=105830"},"modified":"2022-02-15T15:40:32","modified_gmt":"2022-02-15T15:40:32","slug":"industrial-warehouse-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/industrial-warehouse-project\/105830\/","title":{"rendered":"Winvic breaks ground at industrial warehouse project in Derby"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.winvic.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Winvic Construction<\/a>, along with <a href=\"https:\/\/stmodwenlogistics.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St Modwen Logistics<\/a>, has celebrated the first phase of industrial warehouse project in Derby with a ground-breaking ceremony<\/h2>\n<p>St Modwen Park Derby will initially see Winvic complete four modern industrial units at the new 67-acre business park in less than 10-months.<\/p>\n<p>Winvic will deliver cut and fill works on the site adjacent to the River Derwent to enable the development plots, build 800m of new road infrastructure, and create more than 20 acres of natural landscaped area to improve the working environment for those working and living close to the park.<\/p>\n<p>Works will be undertaken using two new Volvo EC300EL hybrid excavators which are powered by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel.<\/p>\n<p>The plant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/the-construction-industry\/103833\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reduces net CO2 emissions<\/a> by up to 90 percent, and delivers a 17 percent increase in fuel efficiency, while maintaining the performance of diesel equivalent machines.<\/p>\n<p>The delivery of the project includes the design and construction of four buildings, which comprises of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/demand-for-offices\/101341\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Office space<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Mechanical and electrical installations<\/li>\n<li>The creation of service yards<\/li>\n<li>Drainage and service works<\/li>\n<li>Significant landscaping and associated roadworks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each facility will achieve a BREEAM rating of \u2018Excellent\u2019 and an \u2018A\u2019 EPC rating.<\/p>\n<h3>\u2018A high-profile business park\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>Winvic project manager, Adam Broadhurst, commented: \u201cHaving partnered with St Modwen Logistics on a number of occasions, we already have a great relationship with the company and we work very well together as one team, focusing on the end result.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis, four-warehouse project in Derby will be delivered in quite a short space of time, but the rapid build illustrates Winvic\u2019s ambition, our team\u2019s experience in the infrastructure and industrial sectors and our exacting programme management skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like to thank the St Modwen team for having confidence in our ability to transform 70-acres of brownfield land into a high-profile business park within just 10-months.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>\u2018Significant investment and innovation in sustainability\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>Richard Carter, senior director at St Modwen Logistics also added: \u201cOur partnership with Winvic strengthens as they continue to deliver St. Modwen Parks to our Swan Standard &#8211;
