for the Belfast Transport Hub<\/h2>\n<p>The existing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.translink.co.uk\/corporate\/media\/improvementsandprojects\/thehub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Translink<\/a> Busway route which runs into the Europa BusCentre will be altered enabling the Belfast Transport Hub\u2019s main works contractor to construct the new integrated bus and rail infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the multi-million-pound Belfast Transport Hub regeneration project and a NI Executive Flagship project, a new weathered steel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/uks-longest-railway-bridge\/105512\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bridge<\/a> will be installed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.graham.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Graham<\/a>\u2019s civil engineering team.<\/p>\n<h3>Society, environment and economy<\/h3>\n<p>This project will oversee the transformation of an 8-hectare city-centre site, a modern high-quality integrated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/net-zero-transport-hub\/104801\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">transport hub<\/a> with enhanced links to enhanced links by bus, coach, and rail across Northern Ireland and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Programme manager for Belfast Transport Hub Lisa McFadden, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are looking forward to working with Graham on the construction of the Busway Bridge, an integral part of the exciting new Belfast Transport Hub Project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCompletion of this package of work will enable us to deliver our next stage of bus and rail infrastructure, future proofing our facilities, enhancing operational and passenger experience, creating smarter sustainable transport options and ensuring that Translink continues to be first choice for travel, for today, for tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Busway Bridge project will encourage more people to use public transport which in turn will reduce traffic and air pollution in the area.<\/p>\n<p>It is also hoped that this development will drive social, environmental and economic progress for Belfast and Northern Ireland by sitting at the heart of\u00a0a new city neighbourhood called \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/weavers-cross-regeneration\/97514\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Weavers Cross<\/a>\u2019 with imaginative mixed-use development proposals.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;A lasting legacy for Belfast&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Graham&#8217;s contracts director Andrew Henry commented:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to have been
