The World Cement Association<\/a> (WCA) has announced that it is welcoming Dutch cleantech company Aeroborn<\/a> as an associate corporate member to its international community<\/h2>\n

Aeroborn is a Dutch cleantech company which specialises in developing and commercialising carbon capture<\/a>, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technologies to accelerate net- zero targets.<\/p>\n

Aeroborn\u2019s technologies focus on reducing net CO2 emissions in four key sectors: construction, energy, process industry, and transport.<\/p>\n

Their proprietary technology turns carbon waste into usable products such as Carbon Black, which sees particular potential for the use of CO2 as an industrial feed and could become a major contributor to global carbon emissions reduction.<\/p>\n

\u2018Decarbonising the cement industry\u2019<\/h3>\n

Ian Riley, WCA\u2019s CEO commented: \u201cCCUS programmes and wider adoption of alternative feeds represent two of the most significant levers available to help cement producers reduce net carbon emissions.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cAeroborn\u2019s expertise and innovations in combining these two areas will be of particular interest to our members as we work together towards the goal of decarbonising the cement industry, so we are very pleased to welcome them to the WCA.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Tackling emissions in this hard-to-abate sector\u2019<\/h3>\n

Man Yong Toh, CEO of Aeroborn added: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be joining the World Cement Association\u2019s international membership, as the work we are doing is part of the solution to a truly global challenge, so being able to collaborate with companies in different parts of the world is immensely important.<\/p>\n
