{"id":106593,"date":"2022-02-28T14:00:15","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T14:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=106593"},"modified":"2022-03-01T21:45:04","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T21:45:04","slug":"nottingham-student-accomodation-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/nottingham-student-accomodation-scheme\/106593\/","title":{"rendered":"Study Inn Group to build new 270-bed Nottingham student accommodation scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Study Inn Group has secured a \u00a322.6 million finance facility from Paragon Development Finance to support the new Nottingham student accommodation scheme<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">The funding has been used for\u00a0the acquisition of the site on Triumph Road and the development of the 270-bed Purpose Built <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/student-accommodation-in-edinburgh\/105433\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Student Accommodation<\/a> (PBSA) scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Paragon has previously worked with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studyinn.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Study Inn Group<\/a> &#8211; the Nottingham scheme marks the tenth facility that they have provided. Overall, this has supported the development of over 2,100 PBSA bed spaces across the UK.<\/p>\n<h3>Paragon\u2019s stabilisation loan facility<\/h3>\n<p>Paragon senior relationship director Simon Dekker and senior portfolio manager Craig Seaborne have overseen the funding.<\/p>\n<p>The deal is the first to feature Paragon\u2019s stabilisation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/tfl-kidbrooke-development\/94503\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">loan<\/a> facility &#8211; this covers the period following the completion of development until the scheme has seasoned with student occupancy for up to two academic years. Once the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/nottingham-student-accommodation-scheme\/102678\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nottingham student accommodation scheme<\/a> is complete, the development will be refinanced onto an 18-month stabilisation facility.<\/p>\n<p>The new stablisation facility allows Paragon to support a developer through the full lifecycle of a PBSA development, from acquisition of a site without planning and pending approval to the development phase and onto a stabilisation facility post practical completion and opening of the scheme.<\/p>\n<h3>The Nottingham student accommodation scheme includes everything a student could possibly want<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>study space<\/li>\n<li>wellness spa<\/li>\n<li>sauna<\/li>\n<li>steam room<\/li>\n<li>hot beds<\/li>\n<li>gym<\/li>\n<li>yoga studio<\/li>\n<li>games room<\/li>\n<li>lounge<\/li>\n<li>big-screen cinema room<\/li>\n<li>24\/7 onsite management<\/li>\n<li>room cleaning and linen services<\/li>\n<li>superfast Wi-Fi<\/li>\n<li>bicycle parking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Located adjacent to the University of Nottingham\u2019s Jubilee Campus, the Nottingham student accommodation scheme will be ready in time for the 2022\/23 academic year.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;Paragon Development Finance support has been integral to this scheme&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Marcus Hook, group finance director at Study Inn, commented:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a committed lender, Paragon Development Finance support has been integral to this scheme.
