{"id":108627,"date":"2022-03-31T14:26:23","date_gmt":"2022-03-31T13:26:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=108627"},"modified":"2022-03-31T14:26:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-31T13:26:23","slug":"mace-willmott-dixon-nhs-procure23-framework","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/mace-willmott-dixon-nhs-procure23-framework\/108627\/","title":{"rendered":"Mace and Willmott Dixon jointly appointed to NHS ProCure23 Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macegroup.com\/sectors-and-services\/construct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mace Construct<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.willmottdixon.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Willmott Dixon<\/a> have secured a joint appointment by Crown Commercial Service to all three lots of the <a href=\"https:\/\/procure22.nhs.uk\/p23\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NHS ProCure23 Framework<\/a>, which marks a significant step forward for collaborative construction in England\u2019s healthcare sector<\/h2>\n<p>The joint appointment to the NHS ProCure23 Framework will allow two of the UK&#8217;s leading contractors to work collaboratively on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/scotlands-healthcare-estate\/102759\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NHS construction projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The alliance will see the two firms collaborate on projects together under a FAC-1 Framework Alliance Contract.<\/p>\n<p>The P23 framework is the fourth generation of the ProCure framework for the design and construction of NHS capital projects, with an expected cumulative spend of \u00a39bn during its lifespan.<\/p>\n<p>The NHS ProCure23 Framework enables NHS clients to quickly access experienced and proficient partners to support excellence in all aspects of NHS capital project delivery, including business case development, sustainability, design, construction, disruption mitigation, benefit realisation and optimised occupation.<\/p>\n<h3>The P23 framework will help the country to build back better<\/h3>\n<p>The new commercial agreement between Mace and Willmott Dixon recognises the importance of public sector construction as a key driver of economic recovery, providing health bodies in England with a new route to market for construction works and associated services, and helping the UK to build back better.<\/p>\n<p>The Mace and Willmott Dixon alliance will allow P23 Framework users to draw on the combined expertise, skills and capacity of both firms for construction projects of any scale and complexity, with the complementary strengths of Mace and Willmott Dixon able to provide a wider, more holistic service for a consistent delivery of all project values.<\/p>\n<p>The appointment to all three lots means that the two contractors will be available to deliver work across the three value bands identified by the framework: regional projects valued below \u00a320m, projects between \u00a320m to \u00a370m and projects worth more than \u00a370m.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;Delivering vital new facilities that ensure people in England can receive the treatment they need&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Gareth Lewis, CEO for construct, Mace, commented: \u201cHealthcare construction delivery is complex, but one of the most rewarding things we do as a company \u2013 delivering vital new facilities that ensure people in England can receive the treatment they need.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur joint appointment to all three lots of P23 is a major step forward for our alliance with Willmott Dixon, allowing NHS clients across England to draw on the combined expertise and experience of two of the UK\u2019s leading construction firms.
