{"id":109906,"date":"2022-04-26T14:29:13","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T13:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=109906"},"modified":"2022-04-26T14:29:13","modified_gmt":"2022-04-26T13:29:13","slug":"fitzjohns-development-privately-rented-accommodation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/fitzjohns-development-privately-rented-accommodation\/109906\/","title":{"rendered":"Pegasus launch new &#8216;silver renter&#8217; apartments at Fitzjohn&#8217;s development"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pegasusgroup.co.uk\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pegasus<\/a> has launched a collection of 10 luxury apartments at its Fitzjohn&#8217;s development, exclusively for people over 60, which has been curated to meet the demand for privately rented accommodation<\/h2>\n<p>The new apartments at the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitzjohnsnw3.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fitzjohn&#8217;s development<\/a> will be able to purchase and rent.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/planning-permission-300-homes-in-downham-market\/108882\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">newly released collection of homes<\/a> available to rent at the Fitzjohn&#8217;s development includes apartments ranging from a 1353 sq ft two-bedroom ground floor apartment to a 1969 sq ft three-bedroom third floor apartment.<\/p>\n<p>The collection spans the ground to third floor of the development with the ground floor apartments boasting private gardens or terrace space.<\/p>\n<p>Recent market research has shown a sharp rise in the over-60\u2019s rental market over the past few years, with the government\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/english-housing-survey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">English Housing Survey<\/a> stating that around 371,000 people in later life are currently in private rented accommodation.<\/p>\n<p>Each residence at Fitzjohn\u2019s development has a distinctive design and layout, ensuring the customer has unrivalled options and choices that meet their personal requirements.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;A strong demand for quality rental accommodation for those over 60&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Francesca Fox, lettings manager at Beauchamp Estates commented: \u201cWe are currently seeing a strong demand for quality rental accommodation for those over 60 with a distinct lack of opportunities currently on the market.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The newly launched collection at Fitzjohn\u2019s provides everything those over 60 are looking for including rare private off-street London parking.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The rental collection provides the ability to \u2018try before you buy\u2019 allowing residents to experience all that Hampstead Village has to offer before making any permanent commitments &#8211; something we are seeing demand for more and more.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Bridging a niche gap in the rental market<\/h3>\n<p>Adam Nachman,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>associate director and lettings area manager at Goldschmidt &amp; Howland commented: \u201cWhat we have witnessed in the later living rental market is that the flexibility that renting provides is main the reason for people over 60 choosing to rent.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The market is also filled with those from outside the area of Hampstead who desire to \u2018test\u2019 the area and see how it feels to live there before committing to a purchase, which makes the rental options at Fitzjohn\u2019s so advantageous.
