HMS<\/a> has successfully completed and handed over its latest new build housing development in South Liverpool for affordable housing provider, Torus<\/a><\/h2>\n

Leading North West based contractor, HMS has finished construction of its first new build housing development\u00a0in South Liverpool<\/a>, which features 27 affordable homes.<\/a><\/p>\n

The apartment development at Garston Old Road has been handed over to affordable housing provider, Torus.<\/p>\n

Investment in new build housing developments<\/h3>\n

New builds<\/a> are becoming HMS\u2019 fastest growing workstream since its launch in 2018 and the completion of Garston Old Road signifies a further \u00a33m investment in new build developments by the organisation.<\/p>\n

HMS is due to roll out three more schemes before the end of 2022 and has so far delivered 40 homes since January.<\/p>\n

The handover of Garston Old Road precedes that of the former Allerton Fire and Police Station which is currently being refurbished and redeveloped to create 47 units. It is due for completion in 2023.<\/p>\n

Disused brownfield site in South Liverpool redeveloped into affordable homes<\/h3>\n

Construction director, John Barrow, said: “Garston Old Road is a fantastic scheme and one that has seen the team completely overhaul a disused brownfield site<\/a> in South Liverpool.<\/p>\n

“Schemes such as this add so much value to communities and through taking an active lead in regenerating forgotten land, we really see the benefits modern, high-quality homes have for not only residents, but the wider local area.”<\/p>\n

Chris Bowen, managing director at Torus Developments, continued: “It\u2019s great to see Garston Old Road complete and a disused plot of land repurposed to meet the needs of the local area.<\/p>\n

“This is a unique scheme and seeing vacant land redeveloped by a conscious and ethical contractor, with the sole intent of building great, affordable homes is key to our mission as a developer and we will continue working with HMS to build even more homes across the region.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
