Mace has appointed Michele Wheeler as its new healthcare director for Construct to expand its healthcare offer and drive strategic growth plans<\/h2>\n

As the new healthcare director for Construct at Mace, Michele Wheeler will support the development of the Mace Construct healthcare<\/a> offer including the New Hospitals Programme as well as MWD Healthcare, Mace\u2019s new partnership with Willmott Dixon as part of the P23 Framework.<\/a><\/p>\n

She will work alongside construction director Nick Abbey and the public sector team.<\/p>\n

Healthcare delivery expertise within construction<\/h3>\n

Michele Wheeler is a qualified nurse with extensive construction project management and healthcare delivery experience.<\/p>\n

Wheeler joins Mace from the St Helena Government where she held the position of portfolio director for Health and Social Care, responsible for managing the island\u2019s largest portfolio, overseeing health and social care services. Prior to that role, she was executive director for Healthcare across Asia and the Pacific for AECOM.<\/p>\n

Wheeler has worked for a range of healthcare provider and commissioner organisations across acute, primary care and mental health<\/a> services including Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where she was director of redevelopment as well as operating at policy level for the Department of Health and Social Care.<\/p>\n

Healthcare is a core part of Mace’s growth plans<\/h3>\n

Michele Wheeler, healthcare director, Mace said: “I\u2019m delighted to be joining Mace as its new healthcare director.<\/p>\n

Terry Spraggett, MD public sector construction, Mace said: “We\u2019re excited to have a leader with Michele\u2019s breadth of experience onboard.<\/p>\n

“With her extensive knowledge in the healthcare sector from the client, consultant and contractor side, as well her clinical experience as a nurse she will be a real asset to our growing healthcare team.<\/p>\n

“Healthcare is a core part of our growth plans to deliver the ambitions of our 2026 Business Strategy.<\/p>\n

“Mace has recently been appointed jointly with Wilmott Dixon by the Crown Commercial Service on all three lots on the Procure23 (P23) Framework, marking a significant step forward for collaborative construction in the UK\u2019s healthcare sector.<\/p>\n
