{"id":112143,"date":"2022-06-23T17:22:38","date_gmt":"2022-06-23T16:22:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=112143"},"modified":"2022-06-23T17:30:15","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T16:30:15","slug":"mark-reynolds-new-clc-co-chair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/mark-reynolds-new-clc-co-chair\/112143\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Reynolds selected as new CLC Co-Chair"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Mace Group chairman and CEO Mark Reynolds has been chosen to succeed Andy Mitchell as CLC co-chair, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionleadershipcouncil.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Construction Leadership Council<\/a> has announced today<\/h2>\n<p>An independent panel consisting members of the industry, CLC\u2019s Senior Advisors Group and government officials has recommended Mark Reynolds as CLC co-chair.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-112151 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/1556036272977-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"CLC co-chair\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/1556036272977-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/1556036272977-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/1556036272977-420x420.jpeg 420w, https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/1556036272977.jpeg 426w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As of today (23<sup>rd<\/sup> June), Reynolds will take up his new role as CLC co-chair and lead with Lee Rowley MP.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Robinson -CEO of Atkins UK and Europe- has also been recommended as deputy co-chair.<\/p>\n<h3>Reynolds has an extensive history of leadership in CLC in recent years<\/h3>\n<p>As a member of CLC\u2019s Steering Co-Ordination Group, Reynolds shaped the CLC\u2019s 2022 Strategy with its focus on Construct Zero, Building Safety, meeting the skills challenge, and implementing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/featured\/offsite-sector-response-construction-playbook\/110458\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Construction Playbook<\/a>. He also chairs the Government\u2019s Construction Skills Delivery Group.<\/p>\n<p>Other recent roles include including jointly chairing the CLC\u2019s People &amp; Skills work stream; and co-ordinating its response to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/recovery-from-covid-19\/79736\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Covid pandemic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cThe CLC can make a real difference for companies across the whole of the industry\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Reynolds commented: \u201cI have seen first-hand how the CLC can make a real difference for companies across the whole of the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have faced \u2013 and continue to face \u2013 challenges that no one organisation can tackle on its own, such as the cost of inflation and impact of rising energy prices; global <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/payment-management-solution-payapps-bouygues-uk\/111200\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">supply chain<\/a> pressures and ensuring our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/featured\/are-construction-net-zero-goals-too-ambitious\/110154\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">collective progression to Net Zero<\/a>. I am also very pleased to be working with Richard Robinson, CEO for Atkins UK and Europe, on this agenda; who will strengthen our collective leadership and capacity in his role as Deputy Co-Chair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Construction minister Lee Rowley MP said: \u201cMark will play a vital role in the months and years ahead as we work to decarbonise the industry through Construct Zero, support it through the Building Safety Act\u2019s introduction, and deliver the first sector-wide skills plan for construction.
