Derelict brownfield sites across England will be transformed into thousands of new homes as the new brownfield fund opens<\/h2>\n

Through the new \u00a3180m brownfield fund 17,600 new homes will be built on derelict sites – creating thriving communities and levelling up<\/a> across England.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Councils are now able to apply for a share of the brownfield land<\/a> release fund 2 which will boost local economies and help thousands of young people and families into homeownership.<\/div>\n

The first \u00a340m will be available to bid on from 8th July to support local regeneration projects, releasing council land for around 4,000 new homes and create 12,400 jobs. A further \u00a3140m will be allocated over the next two years.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It builds on the success of the first brownfield land release fund which saw \u00a377 million go to councils across the country to release brownfield sites for around 7,750 new homes.<\/div>\n
