new Part L CPD module"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Builders, specifiers, building control officers, and architects attending the virtual LABC roadshow will be offered a sneak preview of Actis&#8217; new Part L CPD module<\/h2>\n<p>Regional specification manager Amaret Chahal will be presenting a shortened version of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/featured\/actis-labc-partnership-cpd-partner\/108916\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">newly certified CPD<\/a> when she takes part in the monthly LABC technical seminar on Wednesday July 20.<\/p>\n<h3>The roadshow offers a mixture of face-to-face and virtual sessions<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/stakeholders\/labc-providing-expert-independent-public-service-building-control-through-local-authorities\/91690\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LABC<\/a> roadshow, aimed at LABC members in the northern region, is the second in a year-long programme of informative technical events consisting of a mixture of face-to-face and virtual sessions between now and May 2023.<\/p>\n<p>This is the fifth year in a row in which Actis is working with LABC as a CPD partner.<\/p>\n<p>Delegates drawn from building, specification, building control and architecture backgrounds will be treated to a selection of modules which between them will offer two hours of CPD training.<\/p>\n<p>The face-to-face options equate to three and a half hours of CPD training.<\/p>\n<h3>Meeting the new Part L Building Regulations<\/h3>\n<p>Actis, along with LABC&#8217;s other CPD partners, will each offer 20 minutes of insight into a specific technical issue and a proposed solution designed to educate and inform delegates.<\/p>\n<p>Actis&#8217; contribution will focus on insulation to meet the new tighter Building Regulations Part L requirements, while other experts will talk on issues such as the importance of maintaining fire dampers.<\/p>\n<p>The free seminar will also see LABC looking at the latest building regulations news.<\/p>\n<p>The roadshows are aimed at helping other industry members gain greater insight into issues affecting the construction sector, with the Actis component focusing on thermal efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>The Zoom doors open at 11am and close at 1pm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.members.labc.co.uk\/event\/1064\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Register now to reserve your place.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"mk-custom-module-container\">\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Builders, specifiers, building control officers, and architects attending the virtual LABC roadshow will be offered a sneak preview of Actis&#8217;
