Mace<\/a> has been appointed principal contractor to deliver a fully-electric Moorgate over-station development to provide grade A office space in London<\/h2>\n

The Moorgate over-station development, being delivered for Aviva Investors and Allianz Real Estate, will sit above the Hammersmith & City line, at the heart of the new Elizabeth Line complex.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 10-storey building will provide eight floors of grade A office space<\/a>, as well as a mezzanine-level business lounge and retail spaces. It will also feature a roof terrace and additional outdoor areas at lower levels.<\/p>\n

101 Moorgate will form part of the new Liverpool Street station\u2019s Moorgate entrance and a new covered walkway will be created to provide public access between Moorgate and Moorfields.<\/p>\n

The building has been designed in close consultation with the Crossrail engineering team.<\/p>\n

101 Moorgate targets BREEAM \u2018Outstanding\u2019 rating upon completion<\/h3>\n

The project will be fully electric using air-source heat pumps<\/a> and photovoltaic panels.<\/p>\n

Offsite solutions will be used including the manufacture of precast concrete panels<\/a> with double-glazed<\/a> aluminium punched windows.<\/p>\n

Mace\u2019s managing director, commercial offices & residential, Ged Simmonds, said: “We are proud that Mace will be playing a key role in Aviva Investors\u2019 vision for 101 Moorgate.<\/p>\n

“Not only is 101 Moorgate an exciting project right on our doorstep, but it\u2019s our first project with Aviva and Alianz Real Estate.<\/p>\n

“There is a common ambition to create a building that excels on all levels as a truly sustainable workplace for generations to come.”<\/p>\n

James Stevens, head of real estate investment at Aviva Investors, added: “Our intention is for 101 Moorgate to be considered the leading development of its kind, providing occupants with a building of the highest quality whilst also incorporating environmental and sustainability credentials.<\/p>\n

“We have set high targets for those elements of the project and believe the experience and expertise Mace brings will be a key contributor to delivering on our ambition.”<\/p>\n

Kari Pitkin, head of business development Europe at Allianz Real Estate, added: “We remain convinced that future-oriented office buildings, strongly located close to key transport nodes in talent pool cities will continue to be an attractive long-term investment.<\/p>\n

“With Mace now on board as contractor for 101 Moorgate, we look forward to the construction and delivery of this high-quality, user-focused and highly sustainable office asset.”<\/p>\n

Construction will begin in October 2022, with completion expected in September 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n
