Kate Rock has been appointed as Costain<\/a> non-executive director and chair designate, following Paul Golby\u2019s decision to step down<\/h2>\n

Kate Rock will be appointed as Costain non-executive director (independent) on 1 November 2022 and chair designate from 1 December 2022. As well as her new role, she will also be appointed to the nomination committee of the board.<\/p>\n

Rock has held the role as a senior independent director of Keller Group plc since 2020, having been appointed a non-executive director in 2018. She is a non-executive director of Unbound Group plc and was previously a non-executive director of Imagination Technologies plc.<\/p>\n

Kate rock is a Member of the House of Lords Select Committee<\/h3>\n

Rock is a senior adviser at Instinctif Partners, an international business communications consultancy, and previously a managing partner of its predecessor College Hill Associates. Until January 2023, she is also a Member of the House of Lords Select Committee for Science and Technology.<\/p>\n

Baroness Rock said: “I am delighted to be appointed to the role of Chair at Costain and to be joining a team with a clear strategy and history of delivery in the growing UK infrastructure market<\/a>. I look forward to contributing to the next stage of the Group\u2019s development.”<\/p>\n

‘Kate brings a strong understanding of the construction sector’<\/h3>\n

Tony Quinlan, senior independent director, said: “Having conducted an extensive search process, we are delighted to welcome Kate to the board of Costain where she will support the group in the next stage of its transformation.<\/p>\n

“She brings a strong understanding of the construction contracting sector, the application of innovation and technology to drive productivity enhancements<\/a>, and of government.<\/p>\n

“Her background in corporate communications and strategy<\/a>, as well as her natural energy and new ideas, will support the acceleration of our transformation.<\/p>\n

Paul Golby decided to step down from the board as chair and non-executive director in March 2022<\/h3>\n

“On behalf of the Board and Company, I would also like to thank Paul for his considerable contribution to Costain for over six years. He has led Costain through a period of significant change and leaves the Group in a strong position for the future. We wish Paul all the very best.”<\/p>\n

Paul Golby commented: “I have been proud to serve as Chair of Costain for more than six years. I am confident that the strong progress made will ensure Costain continues to fulfil its purpose to improve people\u2019s lives through connected, sustainable infrastructure.
