Alex Sciarretta, who has nearly 20 years of experience, has been selected for the role of land director for new strategic land business Carden Group<\/h2>\n

Alex Sciarretta has been chosen as the new land director for Carden Group<\/a>. He will be the main point of contact for landowners, farmers, agents and consultants on new acquisitions.<\/p>\n

Alex Sciarretta has almost 20 years of experience and has previously worked with Carden<\/h3>\n

In his previous roles as land director at Harrow Estates and Taylor Wimpey, Alex worked with Carden Group\u2019s founders \u2013 Steve Morgan CBE, founder and former chairman of Redrow; Will Heath, former Group development director at Redrow; and Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, landowner and former director at Taylor Wimpey.<\/p>\n

During his time at Harrow Estates, Alex was responsible for overseeing the larger strategic acquisitions across the wider Redrow Group; while at Taylor Wimpey he oversaw the land and planning function<\/a> across the South Coast.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rationale of working for Carden was to work with a small group of like-minded people with the same outcomes. The background, history and experience of the Carden team sings for itself,\u201d Alex said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are a new business, so getting the name and reputation out there will be key to building the brand. My driver as the land director is working closely with landowners and agents so they understand our unique business model to ultimately realise value earlier in the planning process.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alex has already made an impact at Carden<\/h3>\n

Alex was pivotal to Carden\u2019s first land acquisition \u2013 a 220-acre site in Exeter. Known as Treasbeare Garden Village which subject to planning will provide 1,000+ homes and community facilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe highlight for me is always seeing land coming through and getting planning, seeing work starting so it\u2019s great to have our first Carden site come through from inspection and purchase to planning being submitted<\/a>,\u201d Alex said.<\/p>\n

Carden Group CEO Will Heath said: \u201cAlex\u2019s proven track record of dealing with complex land negotiations to secure substantial sites for residential development<\/a> speaks for itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s testament to his calibre and experience that we\u2019ve already secure a 220-acre site and are in advanced negotiations for a number of other deals. Alex will play an important role in helping us secure land and then navigate the process of selling those sites to housebuilders to deliver thriving new communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
