Reds10 has begun work on \u00a360m of government construction projects, including two new schools, updated barracks and up to 2,000 new temporary prison cells<\/h2>\n

\u00a360m of government construction work across a variety of departments will be delivered by Reds10, including projects for the Department for Education (DfE), the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).<\/p>\n

Reds10 will replace old Army barracks with modern, sustainable single-living accommodation<\/h3>\n

The first project in the British Army\u2019s SLA (Single Living Accommodation) programme will start with an \u00a311m scheme at Imjin Barracks.<\/p>\n

Reds10 will replace old poor-quality buildings with more sustainable facilities that inherently consider how the spaces will be used day-to-day by their inhabitants.<\/p>\n

In addition, Reds10 has received the go-ahead to commence the next wave of projects on the Net-Zero Carbon Accommodation Programme (NetCAP), working with the British Army, Defence Infrastructure Organisation and Landmarc Support Services to deliver net-zero carbon<\/a> accommodation for the MOD\u2019s upgrade of the UK Defence Training Estate.<\/p>\n

Two new schools are also part of the projected works<\/h3>\n

Reds10 will deliver new school buildings for the DfE in Havering and Barking as part of the ‘Off-site Schools Framework<\/a>‘.<\/p>\n

A new school (yet to be named) in Havering will accommodate 60 pupils from primary and secondary school age with social, emotional, mental health<\/a>, and communication & interaction needs.<\/p>\n

The 2,100 m2 two-storey building will also have sports facilities available for use by the local community outside of school hours. The school is to be completed for August 2023.<\/p>\n

Pathways School is expected to complete in October 2023 and will provide a new 2,400 m2 school building for 90 pupils across primary, secondary and sixth form age groups. The two-storey design will include energy efficient technology such as photovoltaics<\/a> and air source heat pumps and will meet a variety of different learning requirements.<\/p>\n

Both buildings will be constructed to a pre-manufactured value of 85% in Reds10\u2019s dedicated factory in East Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

MMC will be used to deliver temporary prison cells for the MOJ<\/h3>\n

Following a competitive tender, Reds10 is delivering a new \u00a311m scheme for the MOJ, which will include the design and construction of the first wave of up to 2,000 units of the Ministry\u2019s Rapid Deployment Cells Programme.<\/p>\n

The units will be constructed by Reds10 using modern methods of construction (MMC)<\/a> and installed at three existing prison sites at pace, with completion due by December 2022.<\/p>\n

The delivery of \u00a360m of government construction work will drive MMC as a way to deliver sustainable buildings in<\/h3>\n
