{"id":117676,"date":"2022-10-27T16:35:06","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T15:35:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=117676"},"modified":"2022-10-27T16:35:06","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T15:35:06","slug":"concrete-sustainability-to-be-boosted-by-an-international-partnership-with-aci-and-gcca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/plant-equipment-supplies-news\/concrete-sustainability-to-be-boosted-by-an-international-partnership-with-aci-and-gcca\/117676\/","title":{"rendered":"Concrete sustainability to be boosted by an international partnership with ACI and GCCA"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.concrete.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">American Concrete Institute<\/a> (ACI) and the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) have formalised their collaboration to develop concrete sustainability<\/h2>\n<p>The ACI and GCCA have signed an International Partnership Agreement (IPA) to develop and disseminate further collaborative work on concrete, concrete structures, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/cement-and-concrete\/104693\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">especially concrete sustainability<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The IPA was signed as both parties exhibited in PROCEMCO in Cartagena, Colombia.<\/p>\n<h3>Part of ACI\u2019s wider strategic plan to develop concrete sustainability<\/h3>\n<p>The agreement with the GCCA is part of ACI\u2019s strategic plan to promote concrete sustainability and the use of ACIs concrete knowledge to assist concrete industry professionals globally to manage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/featured\/what-are-the-next-steps-for-making-longer-lasting-concrete\/114025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">increasing requirements for the design of concrete<\/a> structures.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, ACI recently launched NEU: An ACI Center of Excellence for Carbon Neutral Concrete.
