Graphisoft acquires Abvent in a sale and purchase agreement with AV-Tech Group, for France and French-speaking Switzerland<\/h2>\n

Graphisoft’s acquisition of Abvent<\/a> is another milestone in the company’s journey as a\u00a0leading global player in the AEC industry.<\/p>\n

Strengthening Graphisoft’s position as one of the leading software providers for the AEC industry<\/h3>\n

Viktor V\u00e1rkonyi, chief division officer, planning & design division of the Nemetschek Group, commented:\u00a0\u201cFrance and the French-speaking parts of Switzerland are two of Europe\u2019s most influential markets in the AEC industry.<\/p>\n

Their expertise will strengthen our positioning as one of the leading software providers for the AEC industry<\/a> \u2013 and the acquisition will leverage our go to market expertise and bring us closer to the needs of our customers.”<\/p>\n

Abvent has been Graphisoft\u2019s distributor in France since 1985 and in French-speaking Switzerland since 1991, offering award-winning software solutions and high-quality support and training to thousands of architects.<\/p>\n

The non-Graphisoft businesses from Abvent will be moved into a separate legal entity. The deal is expected to close in the next several weeks, when Abvent\u2019s Archicad business units \u2014 including market relationships, employees, and assets \u2014 will become part of Graphisoft.<\/p>\n
