Kier has expanded its service offering with the Peppy digital health app, providing 2,500 Kier female employees with personalised healthcare<\/h2>\n

In July 2022, the Peppy digital health app launched with offerings for men’s health, fertility, baby and menopause, whilst the women’s health pillar was developed to provide enhanced services.<\/p>\n

The latest initiative will enhance the services provided to female employees at Kier and will offer personalised holistic physical and mental health support<\/a> from Peppy’s dedicated health experts.<\/p>\n

The digital health app is inclusive to all women<\/h3>\n

The service is for all<\/em> women: cis-gendered women, people who identify as female, those born with female biological and\u00a0physiological anatomy, or who have an interest in female health conditions and wellbeing.<\/p>\n

The Peppy digital health app will cover the diagnosis and treatment of different women’s health<\/a> conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which affects every 1 in 10 women in the UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The app also covers\u00a0gynaecological health, body image issues, miscarriage and baby loss, depression, anxiety and stress, contraception, nutrition and exercise, and optimising sleep.<\/p>\n

Delivering high-quality, highly accessible health support<\/h3>\n

Caroline Forsyth, group rewards director, Kier, says: \u201cOur introduction of the Peppy app in the Summer proved hugely successful, offering real and tangible health and wellbeing support to all our employees.<\/p>\n

“We added the Women\u2019s health pillar as soon as Peppy made it available, ensuring now we have services specifically for women\u2019s health. Life has its challenges, often unexpected and, at Kier, we put our people first. The Peppy app supports them when they need it most.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Peppy app supports a number of our key people pillars, including wellbeing, and talent attraction and retention. It delivers high-quality, highly accessible health support across and including race and ethnicity, sex and gender equality<\/a>, LGBTQ+, female and family friendly, and generational diversity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Francesca Steyn, director of fertility and women\u2019s health, Peppy, added: \u201cWe are delighted that Kier has been so pleased with the Peppy service that they have decided to add Women\u2019s Health to their support offering.<\/p>\n

“With fertility, baby, menopause, and men\u2019s health already covered by the services they implemented from Peppy in the summer, it is very forward-thinking to have added women\u2019s health on top of this. Kier is offering a really comprehensive health and wellbeing support programme and one which is highly valued by its people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Peppy digital health app has already seen success with Kier employees<\/h3>\n

Natalie Geraghty, head of communications for Kier Highways, has used the Peppy app for specific treatment. She commented: \u201cHaving suffered with endometriosis symptoms since my early teens, I was finally diagnosed with the condition last year via laparoscopy. How this has affected my fertility is a big concern, especially as I don\u2019t yet have children of my own, and I am 37.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe introduction of the Peppy app has been invaluable to me. I have been able to speak to a fertility and women\u2019s health practitioner instantly via the private chat function. I was able to discuss my experience and concerns on the chat when convenient to me and then follow up with an appointment if I felt it was necessary.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving an employer that recognises the need to support its employees like this is fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The release of initiatives like the Peppy digital health app is well-needed in industries such as construction, which only has 14% female employees<\/a>. By providing women with the support they need, the sector can move forward in its goal to become more inclusive and retain more talent.<\/p>\n
