{"id":120690,"date":"2023-02-01T16:15:24","date_gmt":"2023-02-01T16:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=120690"},"modified":"2023-02-01T16:15:24","modified_gmt":"2023-02-01T16:15:24","slug":"lhc-asc1-framework-asset-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/lhc-asc1-framework-asset-management\/120690\/","title":{"rendered":"Applicants urged to apply for LHC&#8217;s \u00a3135m ASC1 Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Consultancies and contractors have until 16 March to apply to be part of the ASC1 (Asset Safety and Compliance) Framework launched this week (30 January) by LHC<\/h2>\n<p>Designed to help the public sector meet building life safety and maintenance government guidelines and legal responsibilities, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/lhcs-90m-asc1-public-sector-framework-opens-for-early-interest\/114972\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ASC1 framework<\/a> will provide a full suite of asset safety and compliance services.<\/p>\n<p>LHC is now welcoming applications from experts in property protection and associated services; asbestos management; water testing, treatment, and management; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning-related services; and electrical testing and relevant support.<\/p>\n<h3>The ASC1 framework covers all five LHC Group business units<\/h3>\n<p>Available nationwide, the framework is worth up to \u00a3100m in England, \u00a320m in Scotland and \u00a315m in Wales.<\/p>\n<p>It covers all five LHC Group business units, including the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) in Scotland, the Welsh Procurement Alliance (WPA) in Wales, South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) across the South West of England, Consortium Procurement Construction (CPC) across the Midlands and North of England, and London and South East (LSE) for London and the South East of England.<\/p>\n<h3>The framework addresses the need for long-term compliance expertise in the industry<\/h3>\n<p>Dean Fazackerley, Head of Technical Procurement at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/stakeholders\/buildings-homes-procurement\/66305\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LHC<\/a>, said: \u201cThis framework has been developed in direct response to our discussions with housing associations, local authorities, schools and healthcare clients, who expressed a need for long-term compliance-related expertise to help them meet asset maintenance and management requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are now looking for contractors and consultants to apply to be part of ASC1\u2019s pool of specialists the public sector can draw upon. We\u2019d encourage experts in property protection, asbestos removal, water testing and maintenance, gas safety and heating systems, ventilation and air conditioning systems, and electrical testing to apply.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis framework groups several specialisms together in a bid to encourage more collaboration across the marketplace. We hope will increase the visibility of companies on the framework and open more opportunities for public sector contracts, especially for regional suppliers and SMEs.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>There are five workstreams to apply for under ASC1<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Workstream 1:<\/strong> Asbestos Consultancy, Surveys and Removal<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workstream 2:<\/strong> Property Protection and Associated Services<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workstream 3:<\/strong> Water Testing, Treatment and Management<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workstream 4:<\/strong> Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Compliance, Servicing and Maintenance<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workstream 5:<\/strong> Electrical Testing and Associated Services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will be six to eight spaces available dependent on the Lots.<\/p>\n<p>Tender documents are now available at <a href=\"ttps:\/\/in-tendhost.co.uk\/lhc\/aspx\/ProjectManage\/4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LHC\u2019s eTendering Portal<\/a>, with applications open until 16 March 2023.
