Specialist contractors are being sought to help shape a multi-million-pound framework launching later this year to deliver refurbishment and associated retrofit works for the public sector<\/h2>\n

Not-for-profit public sector construction framework provider LHC<\/a> is looking for specialists to take part in market engagement and provide feedback on initial proposals for its Refurbishment and Associated Retrofit Works (RR3) framework.<\/p>\n

The new public sector refurbishment and retrofit framework covers a wide scope of projects<\/h3>\n

As the successor to LHC\u2019s Whole House Refurbishment and Associated Works (WH2) framework, RR3 includes non-residential projects as well as associated retrofit works<\/a> as part of wider refurbishment.<\/p>\n

It will cover multi-disciplinary refurbishment, external works, electrical works, kitchens and bathrooms and associated services, and painting and decorating.<\/p>\n

Dean Fazackerley, head of technical procurement at LHC, said:<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a sector, we\u2019ve got a mammoth task on our hands to refurbish and retrofit the UK\u2019s social housing stock and improve our public buildings, especially following the disruption to existing refurbishment programmes caused by Covid. This framework will help our clients deliver key preventative maintenance and improvement works<\/a> on their properties and help support them in their journey towards the 2050 net zero target.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this stage of RR3 we are looking to collaborate with the marketplace to gather feedback on proposals so far. It\u2019s a rare opportunity to really help shape a framework that will provide key refurbishment solutions to the public sector and clients across the country.<\/p>\n

Potential contractors are urged to apply<\/h3>\n

\u201cEarly marketplace engagement is an integral part of our development process at LHC and is crucial in helping us identify the expertise out there in the marketplace, as well as needs across the public sector. In this instance, we\u2019re specifically looking for more input from SMEs and innovators in the field, as well as larger organisations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The RR3 framework will be available nationwide through LHC\u2019s business units across the country, including Scottish Procurement Alliance<\/a> (SPA), Consortium Procurement Construction<\/a> (CPC), Welsh Procurement Alliance<\/a> (WPA), South-West Procurement Alliance<\/a> (SWPA) and LHC London and South East England<\/a> (LSE).<\/p>\n
