{"id":121391,"date":"2023-02-21T11:24:36","date_gmt":"2023-02-21T11:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=121391"},"modified":"2023-02-21T11:24:36","modified_gmt":"2023-02-21T11:24:36","slug":"over-100-balfour-beatty-workers-will-strike-next-month-pay-dispute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/hr-skills-news\/over-100-balfour-beatty-workers-will-strike-next-month-pay-dispute\/121391\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 100 Balfour Beatty workers will strike next month in pay dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"news-summary\">Engineering workers at Balfour Beatty will take three 36 hour strikes in March after rejecting the company&#8217;s offer of a 5.5pc increase<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>Over 100 Balfour Beatty workers will take the strike action after rejecting the company&#8217;s offer of 5.5pc increase in pay from April 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The ballot of 109 RMT workers saw 68 vote for strike action, meeting the required threshold for strike action to be valid.<\/p>\n<h3>36-hour stoppages will take place on the following days:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>10pm on Friday 3rd March to 10am on Sunday 5th March 2023<\/li>\n<li>10pm on Friday 10th March to 10am on Sunday 12th March 2023<\/li>\n<li>10pm on Friday 17th March to 10am on Sunday 19th March 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3>The news follows further strikes announced by RMT in March and April<\/h3>\n<p class=\"dcr-h26idz\">The union\u2019s 40,000 members across\u00a0Network Rail and 14 train operators have announced they will strike on 16 March.
