{"id":124092,"date":"2023-04-04T16:37:31","date_gmt":"2023-04-04T15:37:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=124092"},"modified":"2023-04-04T16:37:31","modified_gmt":"2023-04-04T15:37:31","slug":"jct-2023-parliamentary-reception-to-give-insight-into-next-edition-of-contracts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/jct-2023-parliamentary-reception-to-give-insight-into-next-edition-of-contracts\/124092\/","title":{"rendered":"JCT 2023 Parliamentary Reception to give insight into next edition of contracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The JCT 2023\u00a0Parliamentary Reception will be an opportunity for invited guests to gain an insight into the core themes that will be reflected within the next edition of JCT Contracts<\/h2>\n<p>The JCT 2023 Parliamentary reception will take place on\u00a0Friday, 16 June 2023, and is an exclusive occasion for<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/stakeholders\/jct-construction-contract-standards\/47391\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> JCT\u2019s members<\/a> and guests, celebrating the achievements of JCT and the wider industry, raising awareness of important issues or new developments, and an opportunity to thank those professionals involved in making JCT a success.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst work on the next edition of the contract suite continues, this year\u2019s event will enable construction industry guests to gain an insight into some of the edition\u2019s key changes and features.<\/p>\n<p>A welcome speech will be provided by\u00a0 JCT chair Karen Kirkham and will include an overview of the next edition.<\/p>\n<h3>The core changes within the next edition are broadly organized into the following four areas:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Modernising and streamlining<\/strong> &#8211; with changes to improve the efficiency of working with the contract suite<\/li>\n<li><strong>Additions to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jctltd.co.uk\/category\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JCT suite<\/a><\/strong> &#8211;
