Anthony Mulraney has been appointed as director of the Hive Group<\/a>‘s new Oxford office, specialising in education, heritage and commercial projects<\/h2>\n

Anthony Mulraney is the latest name to join Hive Group’s team. The company has established a new Oxford office to deliver projects across the education, commercial and heritage sectors.<\/p>\n

Anthony Mulraney’s team will drive Passivhaus principles<\/h3>\n

Anthony will work with Hive’s London and Cambridge teams to target specific frameworks across Oxford, where universities are increasingly seeking to achieve net zero<\/a> ambitions.<\/p>\n

The Oxford office will also handle residential and hospitality developments.<\/p>\n

Anthony Mulraney is already familiar with Oxford’s construction scene<\/h3>\n

Anthony joins the group from Qoda, where he led the Oxford office and managed a team of 15 delivering projects up to \u00a330m.<\/p>\n

Before this, Anthony developed his skills as a mechanical engineer at Sweco to deliver landmark schemes such as Bloomberg and Coal Drops Yard.<\/p>\n

Anthony aims to build a team of M&E experts in Oxford who are driven by sustainable innovation and want to support the preservation and transformation of the city\u2019s heritage and listed buildings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He will also prioritise building collaborative relationships with local partners, such as the city\u2019s architects and project managers.<\/p>\n

Continuing Hive Group’s delivery of Passivhaus principles<\/h3>\n

The Oxford office will work closely with Hive’s Belfast branch and director Aaron McCarthy<\/a>, an accredited Passivhaus designer, to meet Oxford University’s desire to employ Passivhaus principles in higher-value assets.<\/p>\n

Andy Burbridge, Hive Group managing director, said: \u201cThe universities across the Oxford-Cambridge-London triangle are setting ambitious targets to achieve net zero and with Anthony on the ground our team has a broad view of what needs to be done.<\/p>\n

His collaborative approach and ambition to grow a team of smart, proactive people with a commitment to sustainable engineering will make him a valued member of our team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bringing long lasting sustainability to Oxford’s assets<\/h3>\n

Anthony Mulraney, Hive Group director said: \u201cOxford is a microcosm of extremely talented architects and PMs and I\u2019m looking forward to introducing those I know to Hive Group, who have the type of skills that and mindset that will be of huge benefit to Oxford\u2019s built-environment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hive\u2019s new office is located in Bee House at MEPC\u2019s Milton Park, one of Anthony\u2019s projects with his former company.<\/p>\n
