ICW Group, Rendall & Rittner, and ACE have all recently announced new appointments in the <\/span>construction <\/span>sector across a variety of roles<\/span><\/h3>\n

The first appointment in the construction sector<\/span> comes from building warranty and building control services company, ICW Group<\/a>. ICW has named Andrew Spratt as the managing director of insurance services. Andrew will assume responsibility for overseeing the strategic direction and expansion of ICW’s insurance division.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He will collaborate with other directors to improve the company’s standing in the industry and shape its future growth trajectory. Andrew will play a crucial role in the company’s plans to become a leading provider of building warranties and tailored insurance products for the construction industry.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a talented team of people who are all absolutely committed to the business and our clients, and we are primed to build on the strong foundations which we have already built. Andrew Spratt joined ICW in 2020 as operations director and has successfully guided the insurance services team through a period of growth. He will use his 15 years of professional services experience to bring technical and financial expertise to the business.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rendall & Rittner appoint a new head of consultancy<\/h3>\n

Property management agent Rendall & Rittner<\/a> has appointed Clare Johnson as head of consultancy. This is a new role aimed at improving customised consultancy services. Johnson will use her extensive knowledge in property development and management to deliver tailored advice for diverse residential and mixed-use projects.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before returning to Rendall & Rittner in her new role, Clare spent two years working as Build to Rent Director for brownfield developer Inland Homes plc. Here she worked alongside the planning, design, and technical teams to deliver their leasehold and BTR homes to market.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Clare began her career in customer service and advanced into management and senior operational positions. Her expertise includes working closely with developer clients and institutional investors, leading teams, driving new business development, and overseeing diverse regeneration projects and portfolios throughout the UK.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

More sustainability appointments in the construction sector<\/h3>\n

The Association of Consultancy and Engineering<\/a> (ACE) have appointed Dr Sarah Prichard to deliver a blueprint for net-zero challenges and opportunities. \u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Prichard says she believes ACE can give companies a greater voice in putting the built environment sector at the centre of the global net zero challenge. She will focus on the delivery of ACE\u2019s 2022 to 2025 blueprint.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Pritchard will help staff develop skills for a greener future and ensure the industry continues to focus on safety, equality and inclusion.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Association for Consultancy and Engineering is the industry body responsible for representing the views of 400 member organisations in the sector and has a leading voice, showcasing the industry\u2019s role in tackling climate change,\u201d said Dr Prichard.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThrough working with and representing the views of member firms, from micro-organisations to those representing tens of thousands of employees, it works with the UK and devolved governments to shape policy and ensure the industry gets the recognition it deserves,\u201d she added.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Recognising the role of the built environment in addressing the climate emergency emphasises the importance of collaboration among ACE member organisations. Dr Pritchard\u2019s appointment highlights the need for collective efforts to tackle these challenges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really pleased to be able to benefit from Dr Prichard\u2019s vast knowledge and experience as she takes on the chair\u2019s role, and we also thank our previous chair Dave Beddell for his tireless hard work and commitment,\u201d said Stephen Marcos Jones, chief executive of ACE and the Environmental Industries Commission<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDr Prichard has been involved with ACE since joining the Board in January 2020 as the chair of the Net Zero Taskforce – now the Climate Change Advisory Group – which spans both EIC and ACE,\u201d he concluded.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
