The Castleforge ESG report covers highlights such as their 1 Golden Lane project, which will be the first development in the UK to deconstruct, de-fabricate, recertify, and refabricate steel sections for use in the redevelopment of the same site<\/h2>\n

Real estate investment firm Castleforge has released its 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)<\/a> report.<\/p>\n

The report sets out three pillars for delivering “meaningful impact” in: the built environment, community and people.<\/p>\n

Retrofitting and recycling are key aspects of Castleforge’s built environment pillar<\/h3>\n

The ESG report specifically identifies assets appproaching obselescence as targets for improvement, as shown in the 1 Golden Lane development and Winchester House.<\/p>\n

Both sustainable office space developments are aiming for high BREEAM standards.<\/p>\n

The UNO Building at 1 Golden Lane will be the first development project in the UK to deconstruct, de-fabricate, recertify, and refabricate steel sections for use in the redevelopment of the same site.<\/p>\n

The development is a London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI<\/a>) pioneer project, which challenge current practice and support advancements in sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Social value will underpin community and internal investments<\/h3>\n

The report focuses on the launch of Castleforge\u2019s Castleforge IV Fund as an Article 8 Fund under the EU\u2019s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations to actively promote environmental and social characteristics through all investments.<\/p>\n

This includes Ocasa (Castleforge\u2019s residential management operation) and Clockwise (its flexible workspace operation).<\/p>\n

ESG criteria are an integral part of Castleforge\u2019s underwriting process as it strives to invest responsibly and create a greener future for all the communities<\/a> it has a foothold in.<\/p>\n

The final section of the report focuses on people. Castleforge is working to provide a positive work environment by giving employees the opportunity to learn and grow.<\/p>\n

Castleforge will continue to report on its ESG targets and progress<\/h3>\n
