The Forest of Dean District Council has asked BAM<\/a> to work on their new Five Acres site, with work due to commence soon<\/h2>\n

The Five Acres site will operate as a space for leisure, business, and education, offering a place for local suppliers to support the Forest of Dean community. BAM<\/a> will focus on making environmentally friendly buildings that improve neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n

The Council bought the Five Acres site from Homes England for \u00a31, and the government’s Levelling Up Fund<\/a> will fund the project.<\/p>\n

The Five Acres project will bring benefits to the local community<\/h3>\n

BAM will work alongside Pick Everard on the project, and the project will use local suppliers as much as possible to support the local economy in the Forest of Dean.<\/p>\n

The first stage of construction at Five Acres will focus on creating indoor sports and leisure areas. This involves renovating the Speedwell building, constructing a new flexible sports hall, and providing parking with charging points for electric vehicles.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019re incredibly excited to be chosen as the contractor for the design and build of the new facilities at Five Acres,\u201d said Justin Price, construction director at BAM.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware of how much Five Acres means to the residents of the Forest of Dean, and we\u2019ll be holding several engagement events in the coming months so that we can discuss the plans for the build in detail with people from across the district,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

BAM will work with local residents on the design<\/h3>\n

BAM, Pick Everard, and the Forest of Dean District Council<\/a> will collaborate with residents on the design for Five Acres. Once this design is ready, it will be submitted as a planning application before construction starts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe work set to be undertaken at Five Acres is indicative of our commitment to transforming people\u2019s wellbeing through access to high-quality leisure and educational environments,\u201d said Alex Dovey, director at Pick Everard.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be a modern facility, delivering significant social value to the local community through accessible, multi-use spaces for all the family, that will have a lasting impact for generations to come. We\u2019re pleased to be collaboratively working on this venture and look forward to delivering a range of management and consultative services,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
