Alongside his new role as head of responsible business, James has been promoted to health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability director<\/h2>\n

James has worked across some of the largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects in the UK, including Crossrail, Sellafield, Hinkley Point C<\/a> and the channel tunnel.<\/p>\n

James has recently been working as a project director for Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM Nuttall (EKFB), which is responsible for delivering civil engineering works for HS2.<\/p>\n

James will start his role as head of responsible business on 4 September<\/h3>\n

Chris Lilley, who is the current holder of the role, has been promoted to regional director for the Eastern and Midlands region.<\/p>\n

Over the past 2 years, Chris has formed a partnership with the Lighthouse Club, which has helped to put the wellbeing of colleagues and supply chain at the same level as health and safety.<\/p>\n

He has also played a key role in the design and roll-out of a culture programme, alongside developing Kier’s sustainability framework.<\/a><\/p>\n

Supporting ‘people, the planet and communities’<\/h3>\n

Commenting on his appointment, James said:\u00a0\u201cI am delighted to be heading up Kier\u2019s Responsible Business team as the Group\u2019s health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability director.<\/p>\n

“I have seen first-hand sustainability in action in my role at EKFB, and I am looking forward to transferring this knowledge to help realise the ambitions of the Group to support its people, the planet and communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrew Davies, chief executive of Kier, added: \u201cThese latest appointments support Kier\u2019s strong focus on both its growth and responsible business agendas, and I am delighted that, once again, we have been able to recruit from within our organisation.<\/p>\n
