{"id":134930,"date":"2023-11-21T11:10:54","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T11:10:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/?p=134930"},"modified":"2026-03-06T14:44:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T14:44:14","slug":"mace-interiors-london-office-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/projects\/mace-interiors-london-office-development\/134930\/","title":{"rendered":"Mace Interiors selected to deliver London office development fit-out"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Capital 38 and Morgan Capital have chosen Mace Interiors, the fit-out division of the global, to refurbish 21 Bloomsbury Street, a new London office development<\/h2>\n<p>21 Bloomsbury Street is an 85,000 sq. ft office in London&#8217;s Bloomsbury conservation area, just a 2-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road Station.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00a340m London office development will be completed in three phases, including refurbishing the existing building.<\/p>\n<h3>Mace will deliver a range of improvements<\/h3>\n<p>The developers will install new mechanical, engineering, and plumbing services, vertical transportation, reception, core and atrium improvements, and an extension of the building&#8217;s upper floors and rear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be appointed to bring 21 Bloomsbury up to modern building standards so that it can compete with London\u2019s best <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/projects\/mace-deliver-london-office-refurbishment\/134729\/\">new offices<\/a> and satisfy the increasing demand for high-quality, sustainable office space in the UK capital,\u201d said Nick Hoffman, operations director at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macegroup.com\/sectors-and-services\/construct\/interiors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mace Interiors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe share our client\u2019s commitment to delivering sustainably and ensuring that we leave a lasting positive impact on the local community and the planet,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h3>A sustainable office development<\/h3>\n<p>The developers of 21 Bloomsbury Street want to improve the building\u2019s sustainability features, targeting BREEAM Outstanding, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/energy-news\/nabers-uk-will-seek-new-administrator-bre-focus-breeam\/132041\/\">NABERS<\/a> 5*, and WELL Platinum ratings. They also want to achieve net zero operations.<\/p>\n<p>95% of the original structure will be preserved as the project looks to set a new standard for the sustainable transformation of existing buildings.<\/p>\n<p>The London office development will provide occupiers with a new sixth-floor office and a seventh-floor amenity pavilion featuring a 4,500 sq. ft communal roof terrace. The building will include a caf\u00e9\/lounge, a wellness studio, and 174 cycle spaces.
