It will also allow the council to take projects that have already received government funding.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/projects\/willmott-dixon-to-deliver-16m-goole-hub-multi-purpose-facility\/134423\/\">Willmott Dixon<\/a> and Milligan will work under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/suppliers-revealed-new-pagabo-me-framework-worth-545m\/131435\/\">Pagabo Developer Led Framework<\/a>. Both companies have extensive records working with local authorities on regeneration projects in the UK.<\/p>\n<h3>The partnership will revitalise town centre living<\/h3>\n<p>The partnership\u2019s purpose is to reshape town centres and improve the public spaces and town centre living.<\/p>\n<p>It is hoped the redevelopment will create new jobs and homes and help the council to sustain important services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an exciting announcement that will see a step change in our ability to deliver these schemes. We are absolutely focused on accelerating the much-needed regeneration projects to ensure Torbay continues to thrive as a place to live, work and visit,\u201d said Councillor David Thomas, leader of Torbay Council.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are major schemes already underway which show there is huge confidence in Torbay and a bright future for our towns. But we know there are challenges and a lot of work still to do, so the Partnership gives a clear signal to everyone that Torbay has an exciting future,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h3>The project will utilise government funding<\/h3>\n<p>Willmott Dixon and Milligan\u2019s work will include a 21.9m town deal for Torquay and the \u00a313.36m <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/future-high-streets-fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Future High Streets<\/a> project at Paignton \u00a313.36m, which were both awarded UK Government funding in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWillmott Dixon, which recently was recognised by the King\u2019s Awards for Enterprise in the category of Promoting Opportunity, already has a major presence in the region and is currently delivering the Harbour View Hotel in the heart of Torquay for Torbay Council and the four-star Corbyn Head Hotel on Torbay Road,\u201d said Chris Wheeler, regional head of land and development at Willmott Dixon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWillmott Dixon is proud to be part of this significant partnership with Milligan and Torbay Council, and we are looking forward to working together to create a catalyst for change across the Bay, continuing and building upon the Council&#8217;s inspired &#8216;Torbay Story&#8217;
