Exodigo<\/a> has secured over \u00a382m of funding, which will be invested in expanding the UK team and AI underground mapping technologies<\/h2>\n

With this announcement of the additional round\u2014which takes the overall total of funding past \u00a393m\u2014Exodigo will now expand its teams on the ground in the UK.<\/p>\n

This will allow it to better support some of the nation\u2019s biggest infrastructure projects and further expand its range of artificial intelligence (AI) underground mapping technologies.<\/p>\n

The scanning products use sensors and AI technology to identify and categorise underground hazards and assets. They have\u00a0been used successfully on major infrastructure projects across the UK.<\/p>\n

The technology has already been used on UK rail projects<\/h3>\n

Most recently, the technology was deployed by\u00a0Colas Rail<\/a>\u00a0on its Birmingham Midland Metro Extension project, which extends the current light rail network and will also connect to the Curzon Street HS2 station currently under construction.<\/p>\n

Exodigo located more than 280 lines over three sites in a dense urban area of Birmingham, including 51 that no other locator had found.<\/p>\n

Former Crossrail CEO Simon Wright OBE acts as an advisor for Exodigo.<\/p>\n

Using AI underground mapping to boost efficiency<\/h3>\n

Aurelia Setton, chief business officer of Exodigo, commented on the development: \u201cThis new round of funding will fuel more strategic investments in the UK and in Europe. Our partners are already seeing the benefits of working with Exodigo, particularly on their ability to deliver projects at scale, on time, within budget, and safely.<\/p>\n

\u201cUtility strikes are an issue around the globe, leading to unnecessary\u00a0emissions, risks, delays and budget overspend, but our solutions locate up to 30% more utility lines than other services, and reduce preliminary digging and trial holes by up to 90%.\u00a0This funding will open up even more opportunities to scale across new verticals in the UK and in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n
