Wondrwall<\/a> has launched Energy Service Contracts (ESC), a renewable technology for newbuilds<\/h2>\n

Wondrwall ESC will help to keep build costs down in an environment where skills shortages, material prices, and land values are all increasing development costs.<\/p>\n

Instead, the cost of the renewable technology is attached to the property with a fixed-price monthly service charge. The service charge has no upfront fees for the homeowner or housebuilder.<\/p>\n

Energy Service Contracts (ESC) includes all maintenance, energy management services and free hardware upgrades for long-term optimised energy performance and the chance to significantly reduce the homeowner\u2019s energy bills.<\/p>\n

Wondrwall ESC can improve SAP scores by 8 to 10 points<\/h3>\n

Only 4% of new homes in England and Wales were built to the highest EPC A rating last year.<\/p>\n

With the majority of new builds built to EPC B (80%), Wondrwall ESC can improve SAP scores by 8 to 10 points, taking newbuild homes to EPC rating A.<\/p>\n

Removing the ‘green premium’ associated with eco-friendly solutions<\/h3>\n

At the core of Wondrwall ESC is the elimination of upfront costs for both housebuilders and homeowners, effectively removing the daunting ‘green premium’ associated with eco-friendly housing solutions.<\/p>\n

Central to this venture is Wondrwall’s technology, integrating AI-powered home energy management systems<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This can include infrared heating, an air source heat pump, underfloor heating, and an intelligent hot water cylinder, along with ESC-funded renewable energy technologies, including solar PV generation, hybrid inverter, battery storage and EV charging.<\/p>\n

Wondrwall secured a phased investment programme of up to \u00a3100m to support the rollout of ESC<\/h3>\n

Commenting on the investment, Daniel Burton, CEO and founder of the Wondrwall Group said to PBC Today: ” The investment is going to allow us to deliver net zero homes<\/a> off our own balance sheet.<\/p>\n

“The plan is to bring in private sector funding to unlock the private sector funding into house building to allow the scale of 100,000 homes.”<\/p>\n
