One of the many builders who has been a fan of the Actis Hybrid range since its inception more than a decade ago has been inspired to run a time trial competition with a colleague to see just how speedy it is to install Actis\u2019 new two-in-one reflective insulation, Eolis HC<\/h2>\n

Brian Taylor and colleagues from Tonbridge based TW Projects<\/a> are in the process of rebuilding and extending a historic hoppers\u2019 hut in Kent to create a 150 sq m single storey home.<\/p>\n

Actis\u2019 Eolis HC is \u2018twice as quick\u2019<\/h3>\n

Brian explained: \u201cWe\u2019ve been using Actis Hybrid products for years because they\u2019re so quick, clean and easy to use \u2013 and are thermally brilliant. In fact, for a bit of fun I had a race with one of my fitters using PIR and Actis, and the Actis won, hands down. We were all impressed with the quickness and ease of fitment.\u201d<\/p>\n

So last year\u2019s launch of Actis\u2019 Eolis HC<\/a> \u2013 a two-in-one reflective insulation with an integrated vapour barrier, which is particularly effective for shallow rafter scenarios \u2013 has whetted Brian\u2019s appetite to carry out another speed competition with his colleagues on future projects. He aims to prove to himself that time trials, which show installing Eolis HC is at least twice as quick as using PIR board, are indeed correct!<\/p>\n

Premier Timber Systems uses Actis products for two decades<\/h3>\n

Other enthusiasts who have been working with Actis products for years and may be equally excited at the prospect of trying out the newcomer to the stable include Nick Harrington, sales manager for Wakefield company Premier Timber Systems<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The company has been using Actis insulation products for the past two decades and Nick says he has never looked back \u2013 after one customer took two days to notice<\/a> his heat pump had broken as his house was so warm!<\/p>\n

In fact, Nick and his team refuse to use any other form of insulation. Years ago, they dabbled with factory fitting PIR board. \u201cBut it slowed down the production of panels. So we switched to Hybris<\/a> because we can install it so quickly.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels so warm immediately because we achieve great levels of air tightness. There\u2019s no dust in the air and no mess left on site, so no PPE is needed \u2013 and no coughs!<\/p>\n

\u201cWe simply never discuss other options \u2013 our only option is the Actis option!\u201d added Nick.<\/p>\n
