Phase one of the steel works has now commenced on the North Stand, part of the \u00a3300m refurbishment on Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium<\/h2>\n

The onsite works at the \u00a3300m Etihad refurbishment began in November 2023. The North Stand works are due to be completed and open to fans during the 2025\/26 football season.<\/p>\n

The hotel, workspace, and public realm works, including City Square, will subsequently be completed by late 2026.<\/p>\n

Throughout the construction phase of the project, Sisk expects to support over 890 full-time equivalent roles.<\/p>\n

The Etihad refurbishment will increase capacity to over 60,000<\/h3>\n

During the summer months, internal works will commence inside the stadium to mitigate any disruption for supporters when the Premier League season returns in August.<\/p>\n

The development will include several connected all-weather facilities, fully integrated into the stadium, centered around an expanded North Stand with one larger, single upper tier above the existing lower tier, increasing capacity to over 60,000.<\/p>\n

Above the upper tier there will be a sky bar with views overlooking the pitch as well as a stadium roof walk experience.<\/p>\n

A covered City Square fan zone, with capacity for 3,000 people and a wide variety of food and drink outlets, a new club shop, museum, workspace and a 400-bed hotel will also be constructed as part of the Club\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

Three out of the four concrete cores for the hotel have also been complete, alongside four out of five tower cranes in-situ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Capitalising on Sisk’s stadia experience<\/h3>\n
