new 3,042-home village on the outskirts of Stirling<\/h2>\n<p>Springfield is set to supply the land at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thespringfieldgroup.co.uk\/about\/our-villages\/durieshill-stirling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Durieshill<\/a>, having driven the development through the design and planning process, while Barratt will lead the provision of the infrastructure programme.<\/p>\n<p>Initial groundworks are expected to commence in late 2024, creating over 200 new jobs for the local supply chain.<\/p>\n<h3>Durieshill has already secured planning approval for over 3,000 private and affordable homes<\/h3>\n<p>Spanning nearly 600 acres, Durieshill is one of the largest detailed planning applications for housing and community infrastructure to be approved in Scotland to date.<\/p>\n<p>It has a Gross Development Value of around \u00a3776m.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8216;Significant investment into the local economy&#8217;<\/h3>\n<p>Springfield and Barratt said that they will ensure that Durieshill will have essential amenities such as new schools, local shops, and business and commercial opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>The new programme will also upgrade Roman Road, electrical supply works, and sewage works.<\/p>\n<p>The development will incorporate green spaces, including woodland, community landscaping, allotments, and pocket parks.<\/p>\n<p>Innes Smith, CEO of Springfield Properties, said: \u201cDurieshill is more than just housing \u2013 it\u2019s a place where people will live and work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe development of the village will inject significant investment into the local economy, making a huge contribution to the area with employment and apprenticeship opportunities in the hundreds.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>New homes are in huge demand across Scotland<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/planning-construction-news\/scottish-government-declare-national-housing-emergency\/139665\/\">Scotland is facing a housing crisis<\/a>, as a shortage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbctoday.co.uk\/news\/tag\/affordable-housing\/\">affordable homes<\/a> continues to drive up property prices and rents across the
