David Hendy will replace current Mace chief of staff Hannah Vickers as she is promoted to global head of advisory

Hannah Vickers, chief of staff for Mace, is being promoted to global head of advisory, leaving the chief of staff position to David Hendy, current chief of communications.

Vickers has worked as Mace’s chief of staff for three years, having formerly worked as the chief executive for the Association for Consultancy and Engineering.

Global head of advisory is a new role

The establishment of Hannah Vickers’ new role is reflective of the intent to grow more globally. Mace has seen an increase in demand for their advisory services in all four of their hubs, and so wish to expand their global market.

Hannah will also retain her role as a member of the Construction Leadership Council, developing productivity and net zero practices.

David Hendy joined Mace in 2017, leading Corporate Communications and becoming the communications director in January.

Hannah Vickers comments on her new Mace role

Vickers said: “As Mace Consult has accelerated its growth across the globe our capabilities have developed too. This has in turn opened the door for us to expand our advisory services to clients, investors and sponsors.

“The world is only increasing in complexity, with the need to mobilise private finance, navigate political change, achieve net zero and deliver more productivity we’re in a unique position to advise clients. I’m excited to take this forward with a world-class team underpinned by qualitative analysis to bring confidence to our clients during this period of uncertainty.”

Mace Consult CEO, Davendra Dabasia, added: “Shaping cities and helping clients build sustainable communities across the globe is in our DNA and Hannah’s consultancy experience and expertise in delivering complex solutions for major organisations will be a significant asset to our clients.

“From socio-economic assessment and strategic planning to value-based commercial strategies, risk management and assurance, Mace’s unique expertise means we are in a position to advise our clients long before a programme or project breaks ground.”
