The Liverpool City Region Sustainable Property Group conference was held on the 26th of September, and the key findings have now been revealed<\/h2>\n

The Liverpool City Region Sustainable Property Group conference on the 26th of September was held to discuss sustainability challenges in the built environment.<\/p>\n

They have now published their key findings in a report detailing how best to work towards sutainability.<\/p>\n

The Sustainable Property Group conference is a part of the UN’s Global Goals Week<\/h3>\n

The Sustainable Property Group conference is the second that the group help, titled ‘Building Sustainable Cities Beyond 2030.’<\/p>\n

The conference brought together industry leaders, innovators, and professionals within the construction and property sectors.<\/p>\n

The meeting was held in St George’s Hall, Liverpool, and provided a space for these experts to discuss sustainability<\/a> in Liverpool’s city region, and in its construction and property sectors.<\/p>\n

The findings show more co-operation is needed<\/h3>\n

The key topics under discussion included the significance of heat networks, the need for sustainable homes, cost effective retrofitting of homes, workforce and upskilling, and the need for education.<\/p>\n

The notable findings in the report are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The importance of engagement with stakeholders emerged as crucial, particularly with the communities impacted<\/li>\n
  2. How vital it is to collaborate, sharing best practice, experience and resources, given how common so many of the issues and opportunities are to all businesses, regardless of size, sector or specialism<\/li>\n
  3. That we must co-ordinate our efforts if we are to achieve the significant targets that everyone in the room and beyond is committed to<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Karl Clawley, The Momentum Group\u2019s<\/a> associate director, said: “The recognition of the \u2018Building Sustainable Cities Beyond 2030\u2019 conference by the UN as part of its Global Goals Week has given the Liverpool City Region Sustainable Property Group a real boost in achieving our objective of tackling climate change in the region\u2019s property and construction sector.\u00a0 This conference, which was bigger and better than last year, was a key step on that journey, a journey we are all committed to completing.”<\/p>\n
