Situated within walking distance of Regent\u2019s Park, Lord\u2019s View One is a purpose-built residential block overlooking Lord\u2019s Cricket Ground, in St. John\u2019s Wood, London. As the building has recently been fully refurbished, it was a timely opportunity to upgrade the fire doors.<\/p>\n

The problem: Non-compliant doors needed to be updated<\/h3>\n

“We replaced the doors because over half of the doors weren\u2019t compliant with current regs<\/a>, and the other half needed substantial remedial work,” explains Sima Elli, resident and coordinator of the fire door project. “Bearing in mind that the building was being fully refurbished, we felt it would be prudent to move ahead with a full replacement.”<\/p>\n

However, the Residents\u2019 Board of Lord\u2019s View One found it challenging to find the right company to provide the service.<\/p>\n

“We contacted around a dozen companies that supply and install fire doors,” continues Sima. “But either they were too slow to respond, didn\u2019t respond at all, didn\u2019t supply the full specification that we were looking for, and didn\u2019t fill us with confidence.”<\/p>\n

The solution: 80 fire doors were fitted by Fireco<\/h3>\n
